Paul Evans provides general counsel support for multiple businesses, including corporate formation and organization, buying and selling businesses, employment matters, supply and distribution agreements, protecting businesses with confidentiality requirements, trade secrets, non-compete agreements and other methods for protecting the assets of the business.

Paul assists clients on complex business transactions with an emphasis on the development and protection of intellectual property assets. He has more than 30 years' experience with law firms and as a corporate executive in a wide range of legal matters including analyzing, structuring, negotiating and closing sophisticated business transactions as well as managing all aspects of intellectual property protection and litigation. He is a tactical and analytical problem solver who focuses on the overall picture to ascertain strategic business direction and proactively formulate risk mitigation strategies that protect key corporate assets, capital and profitability. Paul has also been a trusted advisor to boards of directors, executive management teams and investors.

Paul helps clients understand and comply with laws addressing the security of personal information, protected health information and confidential information. He regularly counsels clients on their risks and obligations under laws relevant to their data and offers strategic guidance on the many issues associated with the privacy and security of personal data, including recent state laws and regulations governing the use of AI technology.

Paul supports healthcare businesses with navigating the legal complexities associated with healthcare services, such as HIPAA privacy compliance, business associate agreements and a variety of healthcare transaction work.

Paul advises his clients on the protection, commercialization, licensing and transfer of intellectual property and technology. His practice includes the licensing and transfer of patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets as well as the licensing of software and other technologies and the procurement and distribution of SaaS and other cloud-based services. He also assists clients with drafting website privacy policies and complying with U.S. and international privacy law requirements.
