Karthik is a member of the firm’s intellectual property, healthcare and litigation practices. He has extensive experience advising individual and corporate clients on a broad range of legal issues, with experience across all stages of dispute resolution.
In his intellectual property practice, Karthik routinely counsels clients on their trademark and copyright protection strategies, and he zealously advocates for clients in patent, trademark and copyright litigation.
In his broader litigation practice, Karthik guides clients through all stages of proceedings, including pre-trial counseling, discovery, motion practice, trial and appeal. He knows that his clients have different objectives, and he works diligently to achieve their specific goals.
Karthik received his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he graduated with Highest Honors and was elected to The Order of the Coif. While in law school, Karthik earned substantial academic recognition, and he served as a note and comment editor on the Utah Law Review and research fellow in the Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences. Prior to law school, Karthik worked at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute where he was responsible for clinical trial design, research protocol drafting and regulatory compliance. His studies have been presented at national oncology conferences and published in Neuro-Oncology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Outside of work, Karthik is an advocate for and enthusiast of Utah’s public lands.
